Rubber Ducky Baby Shower

Hold an adorable rubber ducky baby shower as a perfect theme choice for those who do not know the babys gender. A rubber ducky baby shower is a neutral theme that fits for both boys and girls. If you do know the babys gender you can combine yellow with a girl or boyish color to enhance the decorations.

If your rubber ducky shower is a duck in a bathtub theme then combine yellow with blue colors (to simulate water). Use wash bin or tub centerpieces with water and have actual rubber ducks floating in it (mom can use these later as the child grows older). Attach helium balloons to each individual rubber ducky for room decorations. Expand your rubber ducky shower theme by including Donald Duck for a boy baby shower or Daisy Duck for a girl.

  1. To make one, first fold a 10-inch piece of 24-gauge wire in half, twisting a loop in the middle for a hanger. Thread beads and charms onto both sections at the same time for a head and body, then separate the sections and add more beads and charms to each one to create the legs. Trim the ends, if needed, then curl them with jewelry pliers to keep the beads in place. For arms, twist a 4-inch piece of wire around the body, just below the head. Thread on beads, then trim and curl the wire ends. Finally, string the bead buddy onto a chain for a necklace.
  2. Use different sized beads for head, torso, arms and legs to create a different bead buddy design.
