Treasure Box Kids will give these women jobs with substance, in order to economically develop them. This will help them protect themselves and their families from human traffickers.

The Designer Girl party will also give back to the local economy by using only local seamstresses to create these 10 lucky girl’s designs. Give your little girl a magical memory while helping people in need. Register your young designer’s spot at the Designer Girl Party Here.

TBK- New Line of Kid’s Clothing Made in the USA

Treasure Box Kids Crowd Funding Campaign.

Treasure Box Kids is embarking on a new product line of Kid’s Clothing to carry in it’s store that’s made in the USA!   We are proud to announce that we are making a line of children’s clothing that is made right here in the USA. This line will feature excellent quality, materials and workmanship, designed with your girls comfort in mind. We are hosting our first ever crowd funding campaign on Kickstarter starting in the next few days to gather support to manufacture this new line.

kid's clothing-rose organza holiday dress

We will be posting articles on the events that have lead up to and that are leading up to the campaign and to the Fall 2014 release of the beginning of the made in the USA line, Girls Dresses.  We have hosted a photo and video shoot with the girls at the Hyatt Grand Cypress in Lake Buena Vista Florida.  We just held our first Treasure Box Kids Fashion Show a few days ago at the Rosen Plaza Hotel International Drive, Orlando Florida. The girls had so much fun and the audience went crazy for the designs.

Kid’s Clothing

The new line of children’s clothing was born because the owner of Treasure Box Kids Carolyn Bailey, who has been a designer for over 20 years,  wanted to bring back the quality that clothing manufactured in the United States used to offer. Apparel manufacturing has been lost to overseas firms and the quality and workmanship of children’s Apparel has suffered greatly. That does not need to be the case. Treasure Box Kids will bring back the quality of fabrics and workmanship to children’s clothing. Children’s clothing will once again be able to be passed down to future generations.

Kid’s Clothing

Our new styles made in the USA will be timeless in design and also designed to visually enhance the appearance of the child wearing the style. We will also design for the child’s comfort in the fabrics and trims that we choose. No scratchy fabrics or trims for your child.  Mom’s will love the fact that our Birthday Dresses will be able to be worn for more than one occasion.

4th of July Celebrations

4th of July Celebrations

4th of July Celebrations

4th of July celebrations are just around the corner. It is time to start planning for a red white and blue day of fun with family and friends. 4th of July celebrations are filled with back yard barbeques, watermelon, swimming, activities and fireworks. Here are some ideas for 4th of July games and activities for kids.

4th of July celebrations

4th of July Celebrations

Make Patriotic Pinwheels for 4th of July Celebrations:

  • Supplies needed: construction paper (the thicker the better), scissors, paper punch, a push-pin, a pencil with an eraser. Decorate with markers, glitter, stickers or crayons
  • Start by making two square pieces of paper.
    • To make a square, put the two pieces of paper together. Fold the corner of the pieces of paper over .
    • To finish making the squares, cut off the small rectangles, forming two squares (which are already folded into a triangle).
    • Fold the triangle in half. Unfold the paper.
  • Decorate one side of each sheet of paper.
  • Put the undecorated sides of the paper together.
  • Make four cuts along the fold lines – about halfway to the center.
  • Punch four holes in the pinwheel, one at each corner.
  • Gently gather each of the four points (with a hole) to the center. (Be careful not to crease the paper.)
  • Push a push-pin through the four punched holes through the center of the pinwheel to attach the pinwheel to the side of a pencil’s eraser.

Make Star Wands for 4th of July Celebrations:

  • Supplies needed: poster board or foam, cardboard star, scissors, dowel, craft glue, red, silver and blue glitter.
    • Trace star pattern twice onto poster board or foam and cut out.
    • Spread glue all over one side of each star.
    • Press stars together with dowel in the middle and let dry.
  • Cover the front of star with a layer of glue and sprinkle glitter over the still-wet glue.
  • Let dry.

Hold a 4th of July Scavenger Hunt

Before the hunt begins, let them design their own bags. Give each child a plain brown paper lunch sack. Set out crayons, star and flag themed stickers and let them be creative!

Make a list of 10 items that are Independence Day related (think Flags, Stars and Stripes). Give the list to each child with a bag to collect the items. Whoever collects all the items first wins!

Host a Mini 4th of July Parade

Gather the children together to hold their own parade. Have the children decked out in 4th of July dresses or red, white and blue outfits. Play some patriotic music while the children march with their pinwheels, flags or star wands. At the end of the parade and all the 4th of July celebrations have the children throw confetti in the air to make their own safe fireworks show for the adults.

Easter Dresses

Easter Dresses

Easter dresses usher in the feeling of spring. The tradition of little girls in Easter dresses brings the excitement of wearing colorful clothes after the long and dreary winter. If this is your first time or even if you are a seasoned pro here are some tips for how to buy Easter dresses.

  • Easter dresses are meant to display the colors of spring, so don’t be afraid of color. Many Easter dresses are designed with pastels, soft baby shades, pinks, yellow, green, purple or baby blue. Floral dresses are the most common, as are butterfly designs, or even an Easter dress with a embroidery or smocking.
  • It is best to buy an Easter dress in a size that is a little larger, especially for fast growing toddlers, as it can be adjusted by tying a ribbon. The length is doesn’t make as much difference since little girls can wear dresses of any length.
  • Make sure the dress is designed with comfortable fabrics so that your child will be willing to wear it. Forgo scratchy lace sleeves, too-tight elastic and decorative items that your child will be tempted to remove. Make the sure the petticoat lining is soft. Your child will want to be able to move around in her dress.
  • Empire cut dresses, long ruffled skirts and puff sleeves are all lovely on a young girl. Check the design quality to make sure that you have a quality product. Any ribbons on the dress should be sewn on and not glued. The lining should be soft and there should be no loose threads or pilling on the fabric.
  • Complete the Easter dress with accessories. Purchase matching white tights, and shiny shoes. Hair accessories, such as pearl headbands, ribbons, a cute bow or even an Easter hat add to the whole look.

Treasure Box Kids is proud to carry a large selection of reasonably priced Easter dresses. Once you make your selection, she’ll be ready to shine as she gathers her Easter eggs.
