Kids Activity: the Beauty of Snow Flakes

Kids Activity
Take a brown paper bag and freeze it for about an hour. When it snows take it outside and capture some snowflakes. When you return inside, take a magnifying glass and examine the flakes. Your child will be amazed by the intricate design of the snow flakes. If you are short on snow, we have a wonderful indoor activity for kids. Make your own snow!
Fun Snow (adult supervision required)
1C water
1C flour
� C salt
1T oil
2 t cream of tarter
2-3 t. dry white tempera paint (optional)
Heat the ingredients together in a large pan over a low heat. Stir constantly until the dough thickens and moves from the sides of the pan. Knead the dough and store in a plastic bag.
