Introducing the Isabella Floral Girl Dress by Treasure Box Kids
A stylish, colorful floral girl dress is always an essential piece of any girls wardrobe. Whether it is spring or summer, or for really any season if the weather allows, kids like to twirl, play, and get down with the world around them.
As always, we’re keeping it comfortable and functional so your child can play all day, but can also dress up if the occasion calls for it. Comfort and style are a dynamic duo, and the cherry on top is the fact that our Isabella is ethically manufactured right here in Central Florida.
Our Floral Girl Dress’s Wear and Care
Treasure Box Kids Navy Blue Daisy Isabella Girls Dress
If you know us, you know we put quality first. Just like all of our other clothes, the $49.95 Isabella Dress is made of hand-selected, 100 percent cotton fabric.
Isabella is soft on the skin and light enough to breathe through a hot summer day. Its A-line fit will give your child room to move, run and stay comfortable through most activities they choose to take part in.
After a hard day’s play, washing will be as easy as the dress’s fit. Throw it in the washer and dryer with your regular cycles and forget about high maintenance care.
Treasure Box Kids Navy Blue Daisy Isabella Girls Dress
Our timeless pieces are made to be worn for years on end. Isabella is a knee length dress, so when purchased she’ll fit as described. As time goes on and your child grows taller, styling the dress with a pair of white leggings will offer a cute and everlasting look.
Both the coral and navy Isabella dresses are fully lined in cotton for your child’s comfort. These styles include varying daisy accents on the sleeves, around the hips and at the bottom of the dresses, giving a subtle yet adorned look that can be dressed up or down.
The fabric we use in these dresses is imported, but its zipper and all of its production is made in the USA. A floral girl dress by TBK will give your child comfort and style while also supporting our community.
Get excited, kids fashion trends are being taken straight from the big kid runway. It doesn’t matter if you still have a bedtime or if you’re the one making that bedtime; if you’re fashionably inclined, you know how important it is to stay up to date with the times. Lucky for us, this year’s selection is more than just florals. We’ve been served trends and colors that are bold, bright, and full of expression.
To find this season’s most noteworthy trends, we’ve combined our own fashion knowledge with some words straight from the pro’s themselves: Pantone, Fashion Snoops, and Earnshaw’s. To read more about color trends and this year’s thematic palette, check out our post on the 2018 Color of The Year: Ultra Violet.
A confident, bright yellow. Yellow is purple’s complementary color, so its feature is linked to this year’s color of the year, Ultra Violet.
Cherry Tomato – Pantone 17-1563
A bold, orangey red.
Little Boy Blue – Pantone 16-4132
Serene as the clear blue sky
Arcadia – Pantone 16-5533
A Cooler, cleaner take on green.
Although these are only our fav, this spring’s palette is an open door to dramatic color mixing in kids fashion trends.
Prints and Fabrics: Kids Fashion Trends for Almost Any Spring Occasion
Now that we’ve had a taste of the season’s colors, let’s dive into the looks and textures our palettes are comprising. Fashion Snoops and UBM Fashion feature a dazzling selection of kids ensembles and weather-appropriate apparel that we’re rushing to add to our mood boards. From chic safari to a gardening in The Hamptons, they’ve lined up looks that will have a place in almost any kid-friendly occasion.
Yes, we said to expect more than florals, but the season of new beginnings can never be complete without some blossoming. Still staying true to individuality, pattern mixing and kitschy details are embroidering our kid’s clothes dreams.
Florals, fruits, and gingham styles never fail. Pairing them up with classic ruffles, tulle, or even lace detailing will add to the aww-factor.
Taking a step south, we’re getting ready for the heat. Hot summer nights don’t necessarily always stay in the summer, as we Florida folks know all too well. Whether it’s for a desert sunset or an Everglades sunset, we know the importance of a good tailoring.
Find twill, beaded trims and light knitwear where the sun keeps shining, and happily embrace the comfort of a vibrantly earthy tone.
Now, we can’t talk about blooming without talking overalls. This time, take a step back and retreat into the forest. Know nature, know a good, breathable linen. Even bring back the smock dress! You know your little girl would look adorable in it.
Keep your eyes out for cotton, basket weave, and twill. Think arts and crafts camp.
Accessories in kids fashion trends
As if we hadn’t already stressed self-expression enough, we’re ending this season’s trend list with a shout-out to Earnshaw’s Magazine and an homage to the holy grail: Accessories.
According to the publication, a unique jewelry set or a fun, pop-of-color handbag can wrap up any outfit, so it’s no surprise that finding these classic staples in a new shape or material is what’s we’re embracing. Try a holographic fabric, perhaps some metallic denim and even grab that unicorn-shaped backpack for a bold look that will rule the school and make it known that you’re up to date with kids fashion trends.

Cute Girls Modeling Treasure Box Kids Styles
Orlando Kids Model at Winter Park Village
We chose the Winter Park Village for our monthly photoshoot due to the playful atmosphere and Regal Cinemas for their decorative party room. The girls were styled and photographed outside in the courtyard where the they played with a life-size chessboard and also in the Regal Cinema’s party room.
Amid all the inevitable excitement from our models, there is much to be done the morning of a photoshoot. Tasks not limited to, getting all the dresses steamed to perfection, making sure that all the needed props are in order and entertaining for the girls. Most importantly making sure our TBK models are taken care of and ready for their time to shine. After arriving, models were immediately styled and ready for their close up. Our Treasure Box Kids interns assisted with steaming the garments and dressing the models as well as assiting the photographer. The popular pattern, polka dots, have seemingly been around forever. The pattern has been spotted (no pun intended) as early as 1867 on Flamenco dancers, depicted in the paintings of Fredric Bazille and in the 1920’s collection of Carolina Ferrera. The term polka dots was first used in Godey’s Lady’s Book in its 1857 issue. It’s assumed the popular European dance the Polka is where the pattern received the origin of its name. The Start of Polka Dots
The girls polka dot dress trend exploded in the 1950’s. The trend was seen on fashionable celebrities to housewives. The pattern gave its female wearers a look of wholesome femininity with a dash of girlishness. The popularity of the pattern tapered off at the end of this era. The trend never really disappears but rather casually shows up each decade with a new twist.

Polka Dots Use in Current Fashion
Although this ageless trend is mostly synonymous with children’s clothing, the patterns popularity has made its return to the adult fashion world. The trend has found its way back to high fashion in top lines like Marc by Marc Jacobs and a signature look on the likes of Fashionista Alexa Chung. European Childrenswear designers have already opted in to the craze and American Childrenswear designers are sure to do the same. Don’t be surprised over the sudden influx of this playful pattern on shoes, accessories and apparel in your favorite children’s stores in the upcoming season.

What Does Wearing Polka Dots Print Say about you?
Statistics show that little girls and women alike adore the fabric. Although in recent years the print has become more popular in Men’s fashion, it’s not as popular as it is with females. Scientifically, the reason girls polka dot dresses are such a big hit is because visually girls tend to respond towards attention to detail. This is why the kaleidoscope of rounded dots in various sizes is extra appealing. Believe it or not studies show that lively and energetic people tend to gravitate to the fabric and are wonderful multi-taskers.

How the Pattern is Currently Worn
Replacing the very Minnie Mouse esque look of old, there are more modern ways to wear this classic print. Now, Designers go for creative and bold looks, utilizing fluorescent colors in a rainbow spectrum. The polka dot print is usually paired with abstract patterns and solid colors. One thing is for sure there’s NO wrong way to wear this versatile pattern. We have recreated this trend in our Pink Polka Dot Girls Birthday Dress. Go for a more fashion forward look this season by including polka dots apparel in your children’s wardrobe, or even your own!
