What a special event for her school to do for each child. I am sure that Juliana will remember this day the rest of her life. It was so special that the school invited Mom she was able to be a part of the special school day and see her daughters joy. Big Fast fashion chains have been found to out source to factories that employee child laborers under unethical conditions to produce their fast paced clothing needs. An $18 billion industry has sprung up, marked by factories in buildings with poor electrical wiring, an insufficient number of exits, and little firefighting equipment. This recently happened in a developing nation Bangladesh, which suffered two fatal garment factory fires recently. All in an effort to cut production costs so that you can buy cheap.

Consumers have been brain washed to think that clothing must be cheap to be worth its purchase. While in reality retailers are able to provide such low prices on clothes due to their little to nothing production costs and inferior construction. Shoppers are buying substandard clothing pieces every few weeks only to be forced to throw them out within a year due to lack of quality.
Fast Fashion-How to combat it
Be Aware- Research the companies in which you shop and where they choose to manufacture their products. The Fast Fashion problem will certainly continue into the future unless an enormous change is made in the minds and attitudes of consumers. Know where your clothing is made and how it is made. Choose to have fewer, quality pieces of clothing rather than a larger assortment low quality clothing. Think to purchase vintage. The fabrics are great and the construction is better. Look to purchase made in the USA garments or garments that are imported but well made under ethical manufacturing guidelines. Together we can all put an end to Fast Fashion.
TBK Fashion Show-Behind the Scenes
The TBK Fashion Show is scheduled for May 2nd, at the Eastmonte Civic Center, 830 Magnolia Ave, in Altamonte Springs Florida. The event is the Life’s A Special Journey Children’s Expo Showcase and Family Fun Fest. Free Admission is included for this event. The Treasure Box Kids Fashion Show is set to start at 12PM. This event is put on by Sandy Isaac’s of Journey of Joy Children’s Events. We will be lucky to have Journey herself modeling for us at the event. TBK Fashion Show: Model Scout Modeling Agency
On Monday the 13th of April we held a fitting for the fashion show. Treasure Box Kids will be working with Model Scout in Orlando Florida. They are supplying the models for this show. TBK Fashion Show: Pictures from the Fitting
The girls that will be appearing in the show were excited as they tried on styles and shoes for the upcoming event. The girls were photographed as well so that we can choose which outfit is the most suited for each girl. Some of the models are just starting out and some are seasoned professionals. They are all so adorable and will be perfect for the TBK Fashion Show on May 2nd. 2015.

Our Blue Gingham Ladybug Dress is made from Blue and White 100% cotton Gingham fabric. Our cotton is a high-grade cotton that will stand up against shrinkage and color fading when laundered. This girls dress is fully machine washable and should be dried in the machine drier on a low setting. The dress closes in the back with a zippered closure. 
This girls dress is available in girls sizes 2-6 and is perfect for school pictures or summer parties. The waistband is embroidered with adorable ladybugs and flowers and finishes in the back with a large white bow. We featured a cute red daisy trim on the hemline of this dress.

Fall Fabric Show
Treasure Box Kids attended a Fall Fabric Show in the heart of Miami last month to source some of the best and highest quality fabrics around.
Many great vendors were on hand at the show displaying a vast amount of wonderful fabrics. I was on hand to look for soft velvets and other fabrics for the Treasure Box Kids new line of kids clothing Made in the USA Inspiration for the Fall 2015 holiday styles start with Treasure Box Kids sourcing materials.

We were also looking for new sequined and embroidered Organza fabrics for our Birthday Dresses as well as soft crepe linings for our girl’s dresses. High-quality Organza, Crepes, and Satins are very important when we design a girls dress for our Made in the USA line. We want the softest and most durable fabrics for our girl’s line of dresses. I was also impressed with the great assortment of quality cottons at the fall fabric show which gave us great inspiration for summer dresses for 2015 as well as for the Fall of 2015. The vendors gave us quite an education and an assortment of information on the manufacturing process of some of their fabrics. We were pleased to choose vendors that offer a vast assortment of quality fabrics.
