TBK Fashion Show: Pictures from the Fitting
The girls that will be appearing in the show were excited as they tried on styles and shoes for the upcoming event. The girls were photographed as well so that we can choose which outfit is the most suited for each girl. Some of the models are just starting out and some are seasoned professionals. They are all so adorable and will be perfect for the TBK Fashion Show on May 2nd. 2015.

Treasure Box Kids is a Online Store that specializes in clothing that is made ethically. We design and manufacture a Children’s Clothing line, Made in the USA. The online store located at www.treasureboxkids.com features the Treasure Box Kids brand as well as other brands made in the USA or imported, that are ethically produced with quality workmanship. To view one of our styles and see the workmanship visit our post about our Red and White Polka Dot Ladybug Dress
Treasure Box Kids features adorable Heirloom Quality Children’s Clothing at our online store that will make memories for you and your child. Our new line, Treasure Box Kids USA by Carolyn Bailey debuts on 5/15/2015. We are using only quality material and workmanship to ensure that your child is well dressed and comfortable, while being stylish. Our goal is to produce the highest quality garments that will be passed down from generation to generation, the way clothing used to be before Fast Fashion came about in the 1990’s.
Treasure Box Kids History:
Treasure Box Kids began in 2006 selling new and used clothing on Ebay. In late 2006 Treasure Box Kids became a merchant on Amazon and began to sell Name Brand Children’s Clothing exclusively on Amazon. In 2008, Treasureboxkids.com was launched. As time went by we noticed a decline in the quality of the fabric and workmanship on some of the name brands we carried. As this increased over time we decided that the only way to stop this from happening in our store was to offer a brand that was manufactured ethically and cared about the fabrics and workmanship that went into a garment.
Treasure Box Kids Future Direction
In our online store www.treasureboxkids.com we carry only ethically manufactured brands with an emphasis on brands that are made in the United States by designers and manufacturers that care about the quality of the apparel. We are also embarking on a new adventure by partnering with Fashion Hope and the Nari Alliance in Nepal. Our designer, Carolyn Bailey is working with the Nari Alliance to design a line of children’s clothing that helps victims of Human Trafficking. This line will debut fully this fall and be available on line at our Web Site, Amazon, Sears and Overstock.com.
This line will be ethically manufactured and produced with the highest standards for fabric quality and workmanship. Both girls and boys styles will be available. Stay tuned for further updates as this line progresses. We currently are having the first style produced for us and we will be offering a full line in time for Christmas. Stay Tuned. Treasure Box Kids is proud to be able to help victims of human trafficking with this new line.
4th of July Celebrations
4th of July Celebrations
4th of July celebrations are just around the corner. It is time to start planning for a red white and blue day of fun with family and friends. 4th of July celebrations are filled with back yard barbeques, watermelon, swimming, activities and fireworks. Here are some ideas for 4th of July games and activities for kids.

4th of July Celebrations
Make Patriotic Pinwheels for 4th of July Celebrations:
- Supplies needed: construction paper (the thicker the better), scissors, paper punch, a push-pin, a pencil with an eraser. Decorate with markers, glitter, stickers or crayons
- Start by making two square pieces of paper.
- To make a square, put the two pieces of paper together. Fold the corner of the pieces of paper over .
- To finish making the squares, cut off the small rectangles, forming two squares (which are already folded into a triangle).
- Fold the triangle in half. Unfold the paper.
- Decorate one side of each sheet of paper.
- Put the undecorated sides of the paper together.
- Make four cuts along the fold lines – about halfway to the center.
- Punch four holes in the pinwheel, one at each corner.
- Gently gather each of the four points (with a hole) to the center. (Be careful not to crease the paper.)
- Push a push-pin through the four punched holes through the center of the pinwheel to attach the pinwheel to the side of a pencil’s eraser.
Make Star Wands for 4th of July Celebrations:
- Supplies needed: poster board or foam, cardboard star, scissors, dowel, craft glue, red, silver and blue glitter.
- Trace star pattern twice onto poster board or foam and cut out.
- Spread glue all over one side of each star.
- Press stars together with dowel in the middle and let dry.
- Cover the front of star with a layer of glue and sprinkle glitter over the still-wet glue.
- Let dry.
Hold a 4th of July Scavenger Hunt
Before the hunt begins, let them design their own bags. Give each child a plain brown paper lunch sack. Set out crayons, star and flag themed stickers and let them be creative!
Make a list of 10 items that are Independence Day related (think Flags, Stars and Stripes). Give the list to each child with a bag to collect the items. Whoever collects all the items first wins!
Host a Mini 4th of July Parade
Gather the children together to hold their own parade. Have the children decked out in 4th of July dresses or red, white and blue outfits. Play some patriotic music while the children march with their pinwheels, flags or star wands. At the end of the parade and all the 4th of July celebrations have the children throw confetti in the air to make their own safe fireworks show for the adults.
